Do I go to The Ugly Mug for their coffee and lattes? Of course. Do I stop by this coffee shop even if I don’t want coffee or a latte? You betcha!
Take a look at the photo below of a Cherry Apricot Linzer ($2.29) I got there the other day and you’ll see why I go to a coffee shop even when I don’t want coffee (which is rare, I admit).
Pastries at The Ugly Mug are either baked by Leatha (the owner) staff (that like to bake) or the “Hungarian couple”. By that I mean a local couple who are Hungarian. They sell their fresh pastries exclusively to the Mug, delivering daily. All of their pastries sell for $2.29.
This thing was delicious! Every pastry I’ve tried at the Mug has been delicious, really, but now that I know about the Hungarians, I’m going to pay closer attention to the daily selection.
All the pastries at the Mug – both sweet and savory – are fresh daily.
