Watching people come and go at Adams Bistro on the East side of Greenville, SCÂ (MAP), what came to mind was “this is a happy place”. We didn’t feel out of place in the least, but lots of regulars and locals obviously frequent the Bistro. Every other time the door opened, you’d hear something like, “hey, didn’t know you were coming here tonight!” It was fun to watch.
We were both in the mood for salads, but PIC thought he’d start off with “a little” Loaded Potato Soup ($4.75). Rich, thick and loaded (intended) with flavor, this bowl of soup was very filling.
Luckily, there was still room for this lovely Fried Chicken Tender Salad ($7.95). Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, the chicken was plentiful.
My choice was a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad ($8.95). Dressed just right for my taste; not floating in dressing or dry, this salad was almost too big to finish.
Both salads came with wedges of pita bread. A nice touch.
Adams has seating for about 60 to 70 inside and another 20 or so outside. Sounds like a lot, right? Don’t be lulled into thinking there will always be plenty of seating. From what I’ve seen and heard, this is a busy place!
Total for this meal, including drinks, tax and a 20% gratuity – $30.00. Definitely a good deal, especially considering the quality of what they’re serving at Adams.
