Chef Kenney Martinez Takes Lead at Blue Note!

John Sykes our Executive Chef is proud to announce a new and wonderful addition to our kitchen:

Formerly of West First, Kenny Martinez, will become our Head Chef beginning Tuesday, June 21st! We are excited that he will bring his experience and diverse talents to the Blue Note. Look for a new menu and some of his personal specialties! The Blue Note is going forward and we strive to be the best destination dining in Hendersonville. “It’s where you want to be.”

About Chef Kenny:

Chef Kenny Martinez

Kenny Martinez, a native of New Orleans, is the founding chef of West First Wood-Fired. He received his formal culinary education from the highly acclaimed Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. His impressive culinary career includes working with Christian Gille at The Westin Canal Place and Gunter Preuss at the Versailles in New Orleans. He also served as Executive Chef at the Killarney Royal Hotel in County Kerry, Ireland. In addition to his passion for the culinary arts, Kenny enjoys teaching Tai Chi and riding his motorcycle on the rural roads of Henderson County.

I’m really curious to see what Chef Kenny does at Blue Note. Expect a noticeable menu change, both in items offered and quality. This could make a huge difference in Blue Note’s future on Hendersonville’s Main Street.
