Fishy Fishy Cafe, Southport, NC has so much going for it: good seafood, good location, good seating variety, good attitude.

Funky signs and art are scattered around, adding to the beachy ambiance.
In addition to the interior, semi-covered and covered outside dining areas, they also have a dock with tables under bright red umbrellas (not pictured).

Fishy Fishy has some interesting history. Filming for ABC’s “Revenge” pilot took place in and outside the cafe. For the shoot, Fishy’s interior got a complete makeover. After shooting was done, it was repainted, returning it to its original look. See lots of fun pictures here.
Three of us had lunch here on a perfect beach day last week. PIC and his sister both ordered the Blackened Catfish Sandwich ($8.95), one with Sweet Potato Fries and one with Regular Fries. Although tasty, none of us thought this catfish should have been called “blackened”. Advertised on the menu as served with “Fishy’s tartar sauce”, they had to ask for it. Both types of fries were nicely cooked.
My choice was Coconut Almond Shrimp ($12.95), served with jalapeno orange marmalade. Props on the coconut almond batter and marmalade! The flavor was delicious! Unfortunately, these shrimp were a little overcooked and overpriced, in my opinion.

Overall the Fishy Fishy experience was a good one and I’d go back to try something else from their menu. See their current Lunch Menu and Dinner Menu.
