Bobby and Layla Rogers have opened City Market at 1705 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC.
They’ve done a fantastic job renovating the building they’re in. More importantly, they’ve also done a fantastic job choosing local products to carry in addition to produce they grow on their own farm. Looking through the shelves and coolers, I saw many of the best known local producers: Lusty Monk, Imladris Farm Jam and Ice Cream, Pasta Wench, Dynamite Roasting Co., etc. They also carry local brews and wine!
The Rogers included a kitchen in their plans. As soon as permits are approved, they’ll begin making their own pickles and possibly canning products for sale.
City Market is offering “Free Tasty Fridays” from 4-6pm. Stop in for free tastes of their products.
Current market hours are Monday – Saturday 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Look for their towering sign with a weathervane on top.
