What a happy surprise!
Sweet Tooth and I had lunch at Mother Butter’s today. When we arrived, they were busy. By the time we left all tables were full. The picture below was taken on a different day, but it will give you a peek inside.
The surprise was how good the food was. Unless something changes, Mother Butter’s should be around for a long time.
Here’s a little taste:
Mediterranean Salad ($8.95) – House-made fresh hummus and tzatziki, black olives, feta, tomatoes, chickpeas, and cucumbers served on wild greens with sections of warm flat bread.
Hawaiian Handful ($9.85) – grilled ham and pineapple slices with provolone and romaine on toasted ciabatta that’s spread with remoulade. Fruit, veggies and potato salad came with. A fabulous sandwich. Pretty tasty potato salad and the fruit was a nice touch. The baby carrots and celery were fine, but I wouldn’t have missed them if they had been left off the plate.
Portions were generous. Service was good even though they haven’t been open long and were busy.
Just before we finished our lunch, Suni (the owner) came out of the kitchen and stopped by a number of tables, chatting up diners.
