MetroWines partners with Asheville French School to offer French language and culture classes. Students will learn French through a vicarious trip to France. Each class will focus on a different region including the food, the history and architecture and the wine! The first session will focus on the Loire Valley. Dr. Allison Weems will teach us the French language and MetroWines Sommelier Andy Hale will introduce us to the wines of the each region.
Level One is designed for students who have no formal training in the French language. The 8 week series will start on Sunday, September 28th from 4 to 5:30 and meet weekly until Sunday, November 16th. Level 2 is appropriate for students who have some foundation in the French language and will be taught entirely in French. The series will begin on Thursday, October 2nd from 6 to 7:30pm and meet weekly until Thursday, November 20th. Both Level One and Two are $25 per class or $175 for the series. A portion of the proceeds will be donated by Asheville French School to Buncombe County Literacy Council.
