Chef Caroline Williams, Chef de Partie of “The Admiral” restaurant in Asheville is one of the ten U.S. finalists in the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 competition.
With more than 3,000 nominations among the globe, finalists were chosen by a panel of culinary experts from ALMA, the world’s leading international school of Italian cuisine. In February in NYC, Caroline will compete with nine of the country’s most promising young chefs (all under 30) for the chance to represent the U.S. at Expo Milano 2015. Each chef will present a signature dish to an panel of esteemed judges including Chef Paul Qui, of East Side King and qui and Chef Blaine Wetzel, of Willows Inn on Lummi Island.
At the Young Chef 2015 finals in Milan in June, each finalist will be paired with a fashion designer as part of a partnership with Vogue Italia, to create dishes and garment designs that complement one another.
