Addison Farms will be matching up to $500 in donations; the supported charity for 2016 is Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy (SAHC). SAHC is a local nonprofit land trust who has partnered with many families in the surrounding Sandy Mush area to preserve their family farms and their scenic mountains. They will be utilizing all donations from this event to continue the conservation efforts in Sandy Mush. William Hamilton, Farmland Preservation Director for SAHC states, ”partnering with landowners and those who love the land is what helps SAHC succeed.”

Addison Farms VineyardThe $1,000 raised through last year’s Handcrafted Christmas assisted the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy (SAHC) in continued land and water conservation efforts, like the recent purchase of 101 acres in Garrett Cove. SAHC has protected more than 10,000 acres in the vicinity of Sandy Mush and continues to add to the network of protected conservation land in this historic farming community.
