La Farm Bakery’s holiday breads featured in O: The Oprah Magazine!

Cary, NC – La Farm Bakery (; @lafarmcary) is pleased to share the news of their breads featured in the December “Favorite Things” issue of O: The Oprah Magazine (attached). “We’re beyond thrilled that Oprah and her team chose our breads for their holiday issue,” explained co-owner, Missy Vatinet, who added “it was an exciting process, and really a joy to see this publication so dedicated to sourcing healthy breads using local grains for their readers.”

The La Farm Bakery breads featured include Lionel Vatinet’s signature 5-pound sourdough “La Farm” boule boasting a “Happy Holidays” or reindeer stencil, their 2-pound multigrain, and their new Scandinavian Rye Bread. These breads include North Carolina grown and milled wheat and rye – a real celebration of the collaboration between the farmer, miller and baker. An “Oprah Gift Box” offering 1 of each featured bread is available for purchase in the store, and for shipment, for $36.99 .

Stay tuned, in January, the Vatinet’s will expand with a new production bakery in downtown Cary at 220 West Chatham Street, providing ample space to maximize their bakers’ talents and further support the growth of the local grain industry in North Carolina. And later in 2017, the Vatinets’ will open a small retail bakery and café adjacent to their production bakery, which will be designed to offer a full view of the bakers in action, mixing, shaping and baking breads by hand. And there is still more expansion news to come!
