Raleigh – Restaurant owner, Mounir Saleh is excited to announce the expansion of Sassool Mediterranean Cafe to the Morgan Street Food Hall & Market in downtown Raleigh, NC. This will be the third Sassool location, which is expected to open in July 2017.
The Morgan Street Food Hall & Market is a new lifestyle dining concept, featuring a partnering confluence of local favorite eateries and restaurants as well as food retailers.
The new Sassool location will offer a condensed menu featuring popular menu items like falafel and shawarma, along with grab-and-go options like hummus, pita bread and tabouli. Several vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items will also be available.
Mounir brings 40 years of experience in the bakery and restaurant business, and the Sassool brand is his way of honoring his mother, Cecilia, for her contribution to his success. The name “Sassool” is a nickname for Cecilia, whose authentic Lebanese recipes were used to build the restaurant’s menu. Sassool has two other locations, in north Raleigh and Cary, and both locations offer a full menu featuring sandwiches, platters, salads, sides, pies, desserts and daily specials.
