Louisburg, Franklin County, NC – Tables will be set in just a few weeks for the 4th Annual Dinner In The Meadow at Meadow Lane Farm just outside Louisburg, NC. Tickets are now available for the Dinner that endows The Leonard-Mobley Small Farms Fund, a $5000 grant established to assist with projects such as development or expansion of new sources of agricultural income on the recipient’s farm. The grant will be awarded at the September 10th farm-to-table feast.
Guests gather in the meadow Sunday eve to mingle with old and new friends as noted chefs from the Triangle and our region are putting final touches on their unique creations for this communal meal, showcasing foods offered by local farms and artisanal food and beverage vendors. Diners enjoy musical entertainment from atop the meadow knoll with breathtaking pastoral views while savoring chilled beverages and appetizers prior to the meal. During dinner, UNC-TV’s Frank Stasio will again host our evening and grant presentation. Then, to cap the evening off, local auctioneer E.B. Harris entertains with his lively auction of our more generous donations. Just past twilight, the winding country road is lit up as guests from near and far head off towards home…. filled with good food, joyful spirits and fond memories of yet another dinner in the meadow.
Our event sells out, so we encourage early ticket purchases to avoid disappointment. Those wishing to support our efforts but are unable to attend the dinner can do so as well on our “tickets/donation” page. We would love to see you in the meadow!
