Asheville – Please join The Asheville School of Wine as we participate in Famille Hugel Day on Saturday, November 4th from 2 to 5pm @MetroWines. Wines from Alsace will be “on the taste” and “on the house” poured by a winery representative.
“The wines poured on Hugel Day are the perfect match to savory and rich foods for your Thanksgiving Table,” says Famille Hugel.
Vineyards have been cultivated in Alsace for more than 2,000 years. In 1639, the Famille Hugel settled in the picturesque town of Riquewihr in Alsace and have retained their original winemaking traditions through the generations. The winery is currently managed by the 12th and 13th generations of the family, an unbroken line. Many in the wine industry say Alsace is synonymous with Hugel!
“Hugel wines, with their widely recognized yellow labels, express the pure character of each grape varietal and specific terroir with no need for added wood or sweetening,” says Famille Hugel.
