Part of downtown Knoxville, TN, Wikipedia defines Old City as "originally part of a raucous and vice-ridden section of town known as "The Bowery". "Presently, Old City is an offbeat urban neighborhood, home to several unique restaurants, bars, clubs, and shops." It's also said Old City is now known at Knoxville's "club district". When you get a chance, drive from Sylva to Cashiers (pronounced "Cashers") on Hwy 107. It's a fun drive with lots of curves, and follows a river much of the way. From start to finish, you'll be in the beautiful Nantahala National Forest. Watch for lots of waterfalls scattered along the way. After looking at all that water on your way down the mountain, you'll be thirsty. Fletcher's Coffee Depot Grand Opening This Friday 10/9

The Coffee Depot's owners have done a GREAT job finishing this building. It's so cute, you want to drive through just to get a closer look, never mind the latte. W-H-A-T??? The first drive-through espresso stand in our area - The Coffee Depot - is almost ready to open!Owned by a local couple, The Coffee Depot sits on a leased section of the parking lot in front of Dollar General (3957 Hendersonville Rd/Hwy 25), right in the middle of Fletcher.The owners are building it themselves - see half of the duo working on the window framing below.
