Mama Christina's has been open in Flat Rock (across from the Post Office) about a month now. A few days ago, I was driving by and decided to pop in and check them out. They bill themselves as an Italian Pastry Shoppe and a Wine Shop that also serves ice cream, Italian food, has live music nightly and "Nellos Cabaret" Thursdays through Sundays. We visited Travinia on Wednesday, 11/4 and were impressed with the decor, service and food.My wife had the Pasta with Bolognese and said it was the best she has had. I had a Rigatoni with a Shortrib Bolognese that was rich and very "beefy". Excellent preparation. Our guest had the Chicken Parm and the portion was huge, took half home.
