Beginning late last year, owners began morphing Scully's into something a little different. It's not really fair to review a new restaurant until they've been open a month or so, but I wanted to tell you about Greenville, SC's latest offering - Nose Dive. PIC and I went "down the mountain" this past Tuesday, February 8th, to take advantage of mid-50's temperatures in Greenville. Culinary offerings in South Asheville have expanded over the past year and there are no indications this trend is slowing. I LOVE rumors!Positive rumors that involve WNC restaurants are best. But, changing rumors (good or bad) into facts, brings a huge sense of satisfaction.Black Rose Public House has been the subject of a rumor recently. It goes like this: "I heard Black Rose got a new Chef and the food has gotten way better." Okay, maybe not "shock" - more like "pleasant surprise", but that title just sounded so good!For quite a while, Hendersonville's South Rock Bar and Grille was the subject of much local online forum discussion. WNC weather has changed this week, taking us into Fall with cooler temps. We're looking forward to leaves changing and Fall festivals. Deserted by our children; son escorting a friend to her prom, daughter to dinner and a school play with her friend, what to do? Go out for dinner, of course!
