Heard on the street ~ John Fleer, Rhubarb Owner and Chef has leased the space on South Lexington, just off Patton Ave, previously occupied by the French Broad Chocolate Lounge.
He’s planning an event center on the 2nd floor. For the first floor he plans a ‘resource’ center that will include many of the local products he uses, a cooking class area, and a possible area for lectures, like bringing in cookbook authors.
This project sounds pretty interesting. I’m looking forward to speaking to Chef Fleer directly about it and will post updates as I get them.
