Birthday Girl chooses . . . Never Blue!

Six of us celebrated a friend’s birthday over dinner at Hendersonville’s Never Blue. I hadn’t been in a while, so was really looking forward to a “fresh” post-pandemic experience. Conclusion? They’re still rockin’ their menu, drinks, dessert, service, everything!

Notes:

The vibe at Never Blue is fun, colorful, and energetic.
Can’t talk about other’s experience, but our server did a great job.
Many menu items are unusually creative.
Expect quality ingredients.
Portions are generous.
Yes, the Pumpkin Love dessert looks a little . . . , but it’s supremely delicious.

Chicken on the Egg: 4 scallion-curry deviled eggs, each topped with a crispy, southern fried chicky nuggie, and house-made rainbow pepper chow chow.

Duck Wontons: Crispy fried wontons stuffed with duck bacon, sweet corn, and cream cheese served with apricot jezebel jam.

Milan Amore: Limoncello, Italian prosseco, club soda, and lemon sugar rim.

Chef's Burger: House-ground beef ribeye, bacon-red onion jam, sharp cheddar cheese, house-made garlic dills, lettuce, garden herb aioli, everything brioche bun served with curvacious beer battered fries.

Beef Filet Medallions: 2.3oz seasoned & grilled angus beef filets served over creamy & rich 3 cheese polenta, smothered in garlic & thyme roasted mushroom demi glace, and topped with crumbled danish blue cheese.

Fish Fry: buttermilk marinated, battered, & deep fried 10 oz fish of the day, house-made garlic-dill tartar sauce, and your choice of side item Today's fish is - HADDOCK ( a light, flakey, cold water, mild white fish).

Homestyle Pot Roast: low & slow red wine- garlic seared angus beef check roast, butter & cream mashed potatoes, sauteed brussel sprouts, and malbec demi glace gravy.

Churrasco Pork Ribeye: tequila brined & grilled center cut pork ribeye, topped with citrus-herb chimmichuri, served with turmeric yellow rice & cuban style black beans topped with house-made chipotle ranchero, and scallons.

Creme Brulee

Don't judge by looks alone. 🙂 This dessert was fabulous! Pumpkin Love: gooey & delicious pumpkin spice croissant bread pudding served warm with cranberry-bourbon caramen and house-made vanilla bean ice cream.
